Do we miss treating our skin with a little love and care?
Taking care of our skin can often feel like a daily necessity, similar to brushing teeth or having a quick shower. In one respect, too much time spent in the bathroom can sometimes feel a bit laborious.
Using natural skincare does not have to be only an occasion. It can also be a rewarding ritual.
If we look at it as a personal admiration of our bodies, and especially our largest organ - skin, then any time spent in the pursuit of self-care is completely worth it.
Our skin absorbs all the impulses from the outer world, it reacts perfectly to the environment which surrounds us. But it also works vice versa. Sometimes we can clearly feel that cocktail of internal emotions radiating out from our skin.
It can be a quiet indicator of suppressed emotions, unresolved traumas and a lack of essential vitamins. Good skincare can be a sensible prevention for skin issues, it can also be very healing and soothing when we are already struggling.
But the simple purpose of using it can be turned into a healing ritual of self-love. Because quite honestly - that is exactly the sort of warm and light emotion we need these days.
What would be immensely enriching for us if you could share your own experience that you’ve had with our skincare. How does your skin react? How do you feel about using products made out of seaweed? What sort of scent(s) do you find healing and calming?
With your help, we believe we can turn this information, along with what we’ve already learnt, into a broader field of knowledge which will help us to improve our recipes and products. One of our ambitions is to create natural skincare products that can target and help alleviate sensitive skin issues.
This branch of The Seaweed People arose from my admiration towards the healing power of nature, and from a desire to show people that a bit of self-love in the form of gentle skincare can help them with their well being. Because if you radiate waves of self-love out there, it will have a positive influence on your surroundings.
Warm wishes,
