Our seaweed flakes are either mixed with english sea salt to make a refined seasoning, or just the flakes themselves. Seaweed has a lower salt content than table salt which makes it a more beneficial option when being used as a seasoning. it also adds a more diverse taste when mixed with salt flakes. The jar includes 50g of seaweed/salt flakes, or 20g or just seaweed flakes.
We hand harvest all the seaweeds locally to where we make our products. This seaweed flakes item contains four different seaweeds that are commonly found along the Dorset coastline. Each seaweed imparts its own particular taste and nutritional highlights. In this little glass jar, there are seaweeds from all three groups (red, green and brown algae), giving it a diverse array of vitamins and minerals to add to your food.
Seaweed (Laver, Gut Weed, Dulse, Kelp), English sea salt (optional), glass bottle, metal lid.
Use as a garnish/seasoning. Pairs well with fish dishes.
